Geek Bar Pulse 2 80K Review: What Changed from the Pulse X
Geek Bar has a lot of devices in Canada right now, and the names do not make the hierarchy obvious. The Pulse 2 80K is the newest, and the question most people actually have is not “is it good” — it is “is it different enough from the Pulse X I already own?”
Short answer: it is more than three times the capacity, and the charging is the part that changes daily use most.
Pulse 2 80K at a glance
| Spec | Detail |
|---|---|
| Rated puffs | Up to 80,000 (manufacturer rating) |
| E-liquid | 20 mL pre-filled |
| Battery | 800 mAh, rechargeable |
| Charging | USB Type-C — to about 80% in roughly 20 minutes |
| Display | Large LED — battery and e-liquid level |
| Nicotine | 20 mg (Canadian legal maximum) |
| Flavours at VapeBest | 15 |
| Price | $30.59 – $40.98, depending on flavour and province (most at $31.61 in Other Provinces, up to $40.98 in Ontario, Quebec, AB/NT/NU and Manitoba) |
| Cost per 1,000 rated puffs | ~$0.40 |
As with every device in this category: 80,000 is a lab rating, not a promise. It comes from short, uniform test draws. Your own total depends on how long you draw and how hard you run it. Use the number to compare devices tested the same way.
Coming from a Pulse X 25K?
This is the comparison that matters, and it is mostly about capacity and charging:
| Pulse 2 80K | Pulse X 25K | |
|---|---|---|
| Rated puffs | 80,000 | 25,000 |
| E-liquid | 20 mL | Less |
| Battery | 800 mAh | Smaller |
| Fast charge | ~80% in ~20 min | Standard |
| Typical price at VapeBest | ~$31.61 | ~$36.84 |
| Per 1,000 rated puffs | ~$0.40 | ~$1.47 |
The running-cost gap is the headline: roughly $0.40 per 1,000 puffs against about $1.47 — and the Pulse 2 currently costs less up front than the 25K tier in our store. On the arithmetic alone, there is not much of an argument for the smaller device.
What you give up is size. An 80,000-puff device with 20 mL in it is a bigger object than a 25K. If pocket profile is what you liked about the Pulse X, that does not change.
The fast charging is the underrated part
Every high-capacity disposable outlives its battery many times over, so you will be charging it — that is not optional at this size. Twenty minutes to roughly 80% is the difference between plugging in over a coffee and planning around it.
All 15 flavours
Blue Razz Ice, Cherry Blast Ice, Strawberry Kiwi Ice, White Grape Ice
Juicy Peach Ice, Peach Watermelon Ice, Tropical Mango Ice, Pineapple Lime Ice, Coconut Ice
Banana Ice, Green Apple Ice, Watermelon Ice, Pink Lemon Ice
Miami Mint, Ice Blast
Thirteen of the fifteen are in stock as of writing. Note that every single one is iced — if you prefer fruit without cooling, this lineup does not have it.
What Canadians are buying so far
The device launched into Canada in July 2026, so this is an early read from our own orders rather than a settled ranking:
| # | Flavour | Price |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Miami Mint | $31.61 |
| 2 | Peach Watermelon Ice | $30.59 |
| 3 | Green Apple Ice | $31.61 |
| 4 | Blue Razz Ice | $31.61 |
| 5 | Banana Ice | $31.61 |
Mint leading is a little unusual for a launch — in most of our new-device data, blue raspberry or a berry blend takes the top spot early. Worth watching as the sample grows.
Where it sits against the rest of the 80K class
| Tier | Typical price | Per 1,000 puffs |
|---|---|---|
| 60K class | ~$39.97 | ~$0.67 |
| Pulse 2 80K | $31.61 | ~$0.40 |
| 80K class average | ~$34.99 | ~$0.44 |
| 150K class | ~$49.99 | ~$0.33 |
At $31.61 in most provinces (up to $40.98 in Ontario, Quebec, AB/NT/NU and Manitoba) the Pulse 2 is cheaper than the 80K class average in our store, which makes it one of the better value picks in the tier right now. The very large 40 mL devices still win on paper — if you are willing to spend $50 up front and commit to one flavour for a long time.
Who it suits
Good fit
You are on a Pulse X or another 25K device and going through them quickly. The capacity jump is more than 3× at a lower price, and the fast charging removes the main daily annoyance of this class.
Poor fit
You want a small device, or you do not like iced flavours — all fifteen options here are iced. In either case the wider disposable range has options this lineup does not.
Shop it: the full Geek Bar collection, all 80,000-puff devices, or every disposable vape we carry in Canada.
Frequently asked questions
Almost certainly not, and that is not specific to this device. Puff ratings are lab figures from short, uniform draws. Longer draws cut the total substantially. Use the number to compare devices, not to plan a calendar.
Capacity and charging. The Pulse 2 is rated at 80,000 puffs against 25,000, carries 20 mL, and charges to roughly 80% in about 20 minutes over USB Type-C.
Yes. Any device rated in the tens of thousands of puffs will outlast a single battery charge many times over — recharging is built into how this class works.
Not in this lineup — all fifteen options are iced. If you want fruit without cooling, look at other devices in our range.
Yes, we ship across Canada including Quebec. Provincial flavour rules differ, so the selection available to you may be narrower than the full 15.
The short version
The Pulse 2 80K is more than three times the capacity of a Pulse X 25K at a lower price — about $0.40 per 1,000 rated puffs against roughly $1.47. That is the whole argument, and it is a strong one. The 20-minute fast charge is the feature you will notice daily. The two caveats are honest ones: it is a bigger object, and every flavour in the lineup is iced.
